Ever Expanding Mind

The minds expansion is only limited by the view it gets locked into. With an open mind anything is possible because the conditioned limits simply aren’t there to curtail its expansion…

The more locked in on a particular view the mind is, the more problems it seems one has. If there isn’t free flowing unrestricted energy, almost everything is a problem in some way. I’ve seen this in myself and in others and it’s all because of a limited view (my way) caused by a locked in mind. I put my way in parentheses because if that’s the only view that’s being allowed, you can see how limited minded that makes you. A limited mind leads to a particular view and with one view there’s no space for the mind to expand. When you get locked in only seeing things one way you get limited to that way. Imagine going through life like this, it would mean the only way you would be content is if everything that happened was in line with your view, and we all know that’s not going to happen, not all the time anyway. So you better do whatever it takes to open your mind or you will pay dearly and so will those around you.

Close your fist as tight as you can and notice how there’s no space, that’s how a limited mind is, there’s no room for anything else. Keep it closed as tight as you can, now notice how it’s getting tired and you hand is starting to hurt, this is the energy you’re living with everyday, only it’s the mind and not the fist. It’s no wonder there’s no expansion, there’s barely enough space for mundane living. Now open your hand and see how it instantly relieves the limit. Open your mind in the same way and it will do the same thing. Give yourself the gift of an open mind and it will be the gift that keeps on giving because your view of life will keep on expanding…

Understanding Why

The roots of our struggles go very deep, they’re not just at the level of how we behave, they’re rooted in the structure of how we think. If you don’t understand why this is so, nothing will ever change…

Changing your mental structure is like turning a battle ship, the intention to turn happens right away, but the turn itself is gradual. It’s as though you know you need to start turning right away, but you don’t understand why. Here’s what needs to be done if you’re to get in touch with breaking free of this mental structure. It’s really not complicated, when something is done understanding why is needed. No reason to go all the way back for a childhood reason, why it’s being done right now is sufficient. Here’s an example: in 1935 a man named Bill had a drinking problem. He was sober for six months when he went on a business trip which didn’t turn out in his favor. The ensuing thought that came to him was to get drunk, fear gripped him, but he was able to draw on the base of what he learned in the six months he was sober; to reach out to another person with a drinking problem. He did this and basically AA was started. This isn’t to say AA doesn’t do good things, it’s just to show how it could possibly be more effective in helping people.

I know this post will not sit well with some people, but that’s not really my concern. All that happened to this man Bill was a business deal went sour, nothing more. Why he wanted to get drunk wasn’t understood so a program was developed that could have been so much more effective if he understood why he wanted a drink when all that happened was things didn’t go the way that he wanted. If he understood this the situation would have turned out much different.

If the need to reach for something happens because life throws you a curve ball and you don’t understand why, you will use a distraction not to succumb to uncomfortableness, but you’ll never be free because you’ll never understand why the reaching was needed in the first place. If you don’t understand this you’ll just substitute one thing for another and in the process remain trapped to what’s causing the need to reach. You may not like this post and you may even ignore it, but don’t be surprised when life throws the next curve ball and you find yourself reaching for something; you just won’t know why you’re doing so…

Human Manifestation

Being human is the form in which our existence manifest so it shouldn’t be denied or ignored. If it is denied there will be suffering because one isn’t embracing the true essence of existence…

The essence of a spiritual life is to not deny being human, it’s to embrace our humanness and see it for what it truly is so you can learn how not to cling to the things that cause suffering. Why do we cling to things that seem as though they’re beneficial to us, but cause our suffering?This all starts with our thinking and ends up as whatever one clings to. Think of a thought as a bee which lands on your head, there’s not much of a problem with this. Clinging would be likened to the bee starting to build a beehive on your head, now issues would start to arise. And if the bee completed the hive and other bees came, it would be a major issue. This is what happens when there’s a thought and one clings to it, the thought itself isn’t an issue.

Thoughts aren’t right or wrong they’re just thoughts, but when you cling to them it reinforces human suffering because it blocks you from being in touch with your spiritual essence; therein lies the issue because when the human side is in total control it will only look for human answers, satisfactions, and solutions which aren’t beneficial. To err is human and one will err that’s a given, but when being human is clung to as the main reason of existence there’s much suffering. What it really comes down to is although our existence manifest as human form it shouldn’t be denied or ignored it should be embraced because if it isn’t there will be suffering because one isn’t embracing the true essence of existence…

Labeled Attention

Life isn’t the way it is because of what happens, it’s the way it because of the labeled attention that limits your view. If you can get beyond the labeled attention, you’ll understand just how limiting your labels are…

What the eyes see and focus on is very limiting, this doesn’t mean what is seen isn’t there, it’s just seen in the limited way the Conditioned Mind makes it out to be; the labeling process causes this. As soon as something is seen and the applied label is attached, therein lies the limit of your attention. From the names of people, to objects, feelings, and emotions, we‘ve been conditioned to think these are all needed, especially as the labeled attention is associated with who we think we are. It also affects you when someone labels you and it’s paid attention to it. This is all because of how the eyes see and take in the projected image; it’s as if there’s a person up in your head that takes what the eyes see and selects the label and where your attention goes.

This also applies to sounds, sounds like images are something that arise from the space of silence. The label of what is heard doesn’t enhance life, it actually diminishes it because it fills up the space of silence with noisy attention. This attention is our suffering because of the label that’s applied; this closes the heart. This is how most people are conditioned, but if you can get beyond the labeled attention you’ll understand how labels limit your life. I write a daily article, but there’s no label applied to it, it’s one of the reasons I’m able to write one everyday. The articles definitely exist, just not in the way they’re seen. Truth can only be experienced when one’s attention goes beyond the applied labels and that will only happen when you fire the person who is running the projector in your head so what the eyes see and what the ears hear isn’t given a label…

No Questions Acceptance

Your own mind makes you believe there are questions that need answering, but you don’t truly need answers; life goes on without them. The questioning will only be eliminated when there’s acceptance of right now…

Although the Conditioned Mind always questions and wants answers, sometimes the answers gotten aren’t the ones wanted. And sometimes one doesn’t even get an answer, but the problem doesn’t lie in the lack of answers, it lies in the mind becoming agitated and creating questions. When things occur your conditioning creates questions that it makes you think they‘re needed, this makes it difficult for what’s occurring right now to be accepted. This is the cause for most discontent, if what’s occurring right now isn’t accepted it makes for a very agitated mind; the real kicker is it’s your own mind creating this nonsense.

Life isn’t something to figure out. Actually the more you think you have it figured out the less it’s known what’s going on. It’s the Conditioned Mind that wants to put life in a box and the moment this is done existence becomes limited. This occurs because a limit is put on a mind that doesn’t truly have a limit. Understand this self created limit is because of the conditioning not the mind itself.

The mind is limitless, it’s a product of the Universe, which is also limitless. Our parents are human so our form is also human, but we are also of the Universe as is our mind; this makes us limitless because we are one in the same. Our mind can be understood to a certain degree, but the limitless of it cannot. So instead of asking questions and making up answers, be in the moment of what’s actually occurring right now and allow this to be your answer. When this is done there won’t be a need for answers because the questioning will be eliminated…

The Hate Story

Love is natural, it doesn’t need thought to be, but hate on the other hand doesn’t exist without thought. You can just love, but you cannot just hate. There has to be a story for hate to be and the story originates from your thoughts…

All hate arises from within yourself. Although things are done on the outside that allows hate to arise, anything from the outside is only a trigger of what’s within. One of the most misunderstood things about hate is the one hated basically goes unscathed while the hater feels the full effects of the hate. This is the exact opposite of love, but because of the Conditioned Mind the energy of hate seems to be much more prevalent. At times it may seem hate comes from the outside, but what really happens is all hate is mind based so it comes from ones own mind. Although it may been driven by what is mistaken as passion of the heart, it‘s misconstrued because it’s mind based. The Pharisee’s hate from Jesus was the same, it had nothing to do with Jesus, it was triggered by the hate that was within themselves.

Love doesn’t need thought as hate does to be, thought actually blocks love. One can just love, but one cannot just hate. There has to be a story attached to hate for it to be and the story originates from the Conditioned Mind. True love needs no such story and if you think it does, that’s from your head not from the heart. A story of love may seem like it’s the opposite of hate and although the results may be different, it’s still a story; it’s made up just like the story of hate is. Love is natural, it’s energy is all around and a story isn’t needed to recognize it. A baby’s smile, a puppy or kitten, random acts of kindness, silence, the beauty of the world, all examples of love that doesn’t need a story. That’s how you will know when something is from love, because it wells up in the heart naturally without an attached story being needed…

Sufferings Push

There are two ways to suffer, one is you run away from it, but it will follow you everywhere. The other is you are willing to face it which is the way that will bring you freedom…

Pain in this existence is pretty much a given, but it doesn’t have to be where it causes suffering. There are many lessons to learn in life and until it’s realized there are two ways you suffer and the one you’re most likely stuck in is the suffering that follows you everywhere, it will remain in place. This is the circular energy of suffering and it never ends because it can’t. It’s controlling energy is immersed in the attachment to it and as long as this is in place it will follow you everywhere. Attachment keeps it firmly locked in place, nothing satisfies the unquenchable thirst of attachment so this is why the suffering follows you everywhere; attachment is always thirsty. Even though this is the suffering that’s in place for most, there is another kind of suffering that is actually beneficial to one’s well being and this is because it pushes you to a state where there is freedom.

The freedom written about here is from attachment not the suffering because without attachment there’s no one to suffer. This is the kind of suffering that leads to freedom because as this energy arises and it will, instead of attaching to its circular energy, it pushes you to new insights and revelations; you are with the pain of what arises instead of pushing the suffering away. There’s no reaching to mask this, there’s no running from it or using something as a distraction. What happens when one makes a stand and is with what arises, the lies of attachment are exposed, and if there’s no attachment there’s nothing for the suffering to follow; liberation naturally occurs. Read this very carefully and if the full meaning of this can be grasped, freedom from the suffering that’s been following you around for most of your life will begin to lag behind you, but understand this the lagging will only occur when there is no attachment for suffering to follow…

Steadfast Resolve

A solid footing and strong roots are essential in trying times as well as in good ones because there will be test and if this steadfast resolve isn’t firmly in place the test will knock you over without hesitation…

The test of life will never cause defeat with a strong root system. Standing on solid ground and having strong roots are essential in trying times as well as in the seemingly good times because the test will come regardless. How deep the roots are will determine how much can be withstood. Being on solid ground when the test comes sometimes seems as though they hit a breaking point, but a steadfast resolve to stay firmly rooted in truth will return you to your strong foundation. This occurs not because you are strong, but because you are firmly rooted, this provides the support needed in the midst of any test.

Many things will test your resolve in life, but understand it’s not life doing it, it’s just the nature of how things are. The important thing is to have roots strong enough to bend but not break. Circumstances and other people’s belief will test you and without deep roots you will succumb to the pressure. It will be difficult not to be able to resist and it will be as though you become uprooted, but understand you are as strong and as resilient as your root system so make them as deep as possibly so when a test does come your way, you may bend a bit, but you will have the support and a steadfast resolve not to break…

The Conditioned Way

The conditioned way of the world is to cope with suffering by suffering. This is the delusion in place that keeps one suffering by attaching to unconscious actions that cause more suffering…

When one wakes up and sees the delusion of the attached conditioning that’s been put in place to cope with situations, it’s freeing, but only to the extent that the delusion is let go of. This basically means going against the conditioned way that most people view life from. Although waking up doesn’t make a person special, it does make one seem odd or peculiar because they aren’t in line with the way everyone else responds to life situations.

This writing stems from the fact that the woman who had the label of my mother, went through dementia before passing. What has arisen in me is seeing how much suffering this situation caused all those involved with it. Although the suffering is optional, it’s not seen in this way because of the coping mechanisms caused by one attaching to the delusional conditioning the world has in place; this is delusional thinking even though it seems right. Understanding this has afforded me the awareness of not being pulled into the suffering, but it makes it look like a person doesn’t care about what’s happening. Compassion has arisen in me for all those involved with this situation because of how it’s caused so many to suffer, but this compassion isn’t seen by those who are suffering.

It’s only the delusional conditioning of attachment that causes one to suffer with any situation. The conditioned way of the world is to cope with suffering with actions that keep the suffering in place. This is the delusion in place that keeps one suffering by attaching to unconscious actions that cause more suffering, and although the one who wakes up from the sleep of this delusion may be looked upon by others as being peculiar or odd and not caring, the alternative is to attach to the delusional way of the Conditioned Mind with actions that cause more suffering; insanity to say the least…

True Contentment

The only way one will ever be truly content is without the story that something other than this moment will provide contentment. When this is understood so will true contentment be understood…

Everyone has a story, no one goes through life storyless, but the story really isn’t the issue, it’s how the story becomes your controlling energy; that’s when issues arise. There other day there was a discussion going on about one of my post. How this affects me is how it’s made into a story, but it isn’t really a story, it’s just what’s happening. Since there are many who read my post there are many different versions of their story, none are the right or wrong one, they’re just what each one who reads them perceives because of the conditioning in place.

Here’s why storied energy creates an issue, someone posted yesterday how they were really looking forward to going on vacation tomorrow; this would mean right now they’re not content. Although this seems innocent it’s not because this simple statement blocks out truly living life and being content with life right now. This is the issue a story creates, it doesn’t allow you to be with the fullness of the life you’re actually living in this moment; it’s always when this or that happens. Create your own story, but that story is your block to your own freedom. The only way one will ever truly be content is without the story that something other than this moment will provide contentment; when this is understood so will true contentment be understood; without a needed story…
