This site has been created to expand and share on some of the insights that led to the writing of It's Monday Only in Your Mind: You Are Not Your Thoughts.

Being grateful for being alive comes from understanding what it takes to live from a heart of love. It’s not automatic that this occurs. When love is cultivated it produces gratitude for our given life.

Gratitude is from a loving heart, it has nothing to do with anything from the materiel realm. If gratitude was from the material realm, it would be from the direct result of our possessions and that would make a person of wealth more grateful than one who has none? The true measure of wealth has nothing to do with possessions, it’s from our loving heart. You can only be grateful when you are content with life exactly as it is, not the one you wish you had or the one that’s based on what you want. Wanting is never from our true self, it’s from the small self that thinks it needs something to be complete. The true self never needs because it is complete as it is. Needing only arises from the sense of “I” which creates lack which creates need. When there’s completeness there’s no lack or need.

This lack or need which creates wanting, is directly related to our so called problems in life. Whenever you want, that means you think things need to be in some other way and suffering follows. It doesn’t mean everything will be as you like, but it must be accepted if you are to be at peace and invoke a grateful heart. Investigate this for yourself. Truth will not shield you from mishaps, but it will allow you to not label them as problems. Find your truth and you will find your loving heart and when you are of a loving heart, you will be in harmony with your true self. When this occurs you can’t help but to have an attitude that’s full of gratitude because you’ll understand, you are complete as you are.
