No Need to Be Different

There’s only ourselves that we have to be better than, but it’s only because of ourselves that we aren’t. This doesn’t mean we really need to be better because in truth, we don’t need to be different.

There’s only one person you ever have to be better than and that’s yourself, not because it’s needed, but because it’s not known it’s not needed. Life isn’t a competition as to who knows more, who’s got it right, who has found the way, who’s smarter, who’s God is better, who has more money, who is more spiritual, and on and on and on. There’s only ourselves that we have to be better than because it’s only ourselves that makes this a need and says we aren’t. This doesn’t mean were not better than we ever were, it just means there’s not a true need to have things different and we don’t know any better.

Life is taken way to serious and too many go around not enjoying the gift of existence. Our human form is a gift that is limited by time. There’s way to much time wasted on trying to make our existence into something that it isn’t instead of enjoying what it is. We are human, we laugh, cry, get anger, feel happy, sad, and indifferent. We get sick, we get well, loved ones die and one day we will die, but the most important thing to remember, at least for me is this; I will always be human and no matter what happens in life there is only one person that I have to be better than and that is myself. And when this is understood, I will be free to be who I am and not be concerned with who you think I am because I know I don’t have to any better than who I already am.
