Consequences of Decisions

To not be consumed by the world, how it consumes needs to be understood. When one rules their mind, one rules the world, but not because everything works out as wanted, but because the world isn’t in control anymore.

Living life without the understanding of one’s own mind is like driving a car and changing lanes on the highway without looking. At times one may get away with it, but eventually there’s going to be a crash, it’s inevitable. If you want to make the decision to change lanes in the hopes that nobody’s there, that’s a choice to be made, but if someone’s there and there’s an accident, you’re at fault. What happens if you aren’t taught to look when switching lanes and for years you get away with it? That’s what becomes the normal way for you to drive, there really isn’t any fault in this. Accidents would still occur, but how can a person be at fault for something that’s not known. This is where ignorance may seem to be bliss, but there’s harm being done.

This is how it is when you live life without understanding your own mind. Decisions are made on what one has been taught, but this leads to living life blindly, without looking. And if one’s mind isn’t based to love but based to self serve, there will be many collisions. Is one truly at fault for being this way? Although this seems to be the way most people live life, it’s only because it’s what has been taught and unless something happens that makes you go inward to investigate this, self serving will most likely be the base of your decisions, so there will be accidents, this is inevitable. When you make decisions based in this way there’s a lack of harmony with life and although one may be ignorant of this, there’s harm being done.

So look inward and learn the reason why you do what you do and what the base of your decisions are. If this is done and you start looking before you change lanes, there will less likely be a chance of getting into an accident and there will be much more harmony in one’s life. This is a choice that needs to be made; to start investigating why you do what you do. When this is done, one will be ignorant no more and will go in a direction that allows for there to be awareness of the decisions made, which will allow for there to be harmony with life. When this occurs the world will consume you no more.
