Acceptance of What Is

Our ideals cause suffering because they’re made up stories that don’t align with the perfection of what is. When this occurs suffering has to happen because the perfection of what is isn’t accepted.

The path before us is one of perfection, not a perfection as an ideal that life has to be a certain way, but perfection because it’s the way it is and regardless if one considers it good, bad, or indifferent, wanting it to either remain the way it is forever or wanting it to be in some other way leads to suffering.

If we become distracted by an ideal of perfection, we will find ourselves lost in a revolving door that takes us further away from the path of what is that’s set before us. And once we become entangled with wanting life to be in some other way, our conditioning takes over and we are loss to the flesh. The spiritual life is not about a million do’s and don’ts, it’s more about do unto others what you would have them do to you.

This truly is our path and when we get caught up in our made up ideals and we think things have to be perfect for life to work for us, we will be of no use to others because we will be of no use to ourselves. So it is imperative to accept what is so we don’t make ourselves suffer by creating a life of perfection that can’t be sustained.

Accept your given path and you will accept your given life. And when this is done you will be able to do unto others as you want them to do unto you, instead of a living by a made up ideal of the way you think things are needed to be. This acceptance allows for others to live their life of the perfection of what is, so in essence what you want for others, you also want for yourself.
