Two Ways to Live

Become the observer of life and be free, or not and stay entrapped to the judging and labeling process that keeps one entrapped to the judging and labeling process of one’s Conditioned Mind.

At times life can seem as though it is such a struggle, but really life itself is never a struggle, it is our created perception that makes this so. There are two ways to live life, one is from the perception that directly involves a person in everything that happens. This requires that one makes constant judgements as each situation occurs which instantaneously labels things as they happen, this makes life personal. This is the way most people have been conditioned so this is the way most people live.

The other way that life can be lived, but this must be learned, is to observe what happens and realize life isn’t personal. This is much different because there isn’t direct involvement in what happens. There is participation because one is there, but it’s learned not to judge and label what happens. If you are in traffic, you observe it, but that’s all you do. You acknowledge the fact that there is traffic and that’s it. It doesn’t have to be taken any further than that because it doesn’t add anything beneficial to the situation. In this case one is in traffic, but by observing being in traffic instead of making it personal, there’s a freedom that’s not there when the situation is judged and labeled instead of just being observed.

To me, there is so much more benefit in observing what happens in life as opposed to making it personal. If this observing can be learned how to do, life will be experienced in a way as never before. This is not something magical, it is simply observing what happens instead of judging and labeling it. Just think of the many scenario’s that this can be directly applied to and see how differently each situation affects you when it is observed instead of being judged and labeled. 

It’s amazing how much more peace there is in one’s life when it is just observed. Don’t take my word for this, see the difference for yourself when you observe what happens instead of being pulled into the judging and labeling process of the Conditioned Mind. The situation that occurs doesn’t change, just the way that it affects one does. Become the observer become free, or not and stay entrapped to the judging and labeling process that keeps one entrapped to the judging and labeling process of the Conditioned Mind.
