This site has been created to expand and share on some of the insights that led to the writing of It's Monday Only in Your Mind: You Are Not Your Thoughts.

Everyone has a center, but what’s used to establish it is the key that determines what one’s life will be like. Only a mind that is settled will be able to see if one’s established center is truly beneficial.

To me one needs a center that establishes bringing quietness into their life. Whatever that is it has to be investigated if it is truly a benefit. Many use alcohol, drugs, tobacco products, sex, success, gambling, abuse, bullying, and so many other things and until one sees that these things don’t take away their pain, they will continue to be used. But the real eye opener is when it’s understood that the things being used that one thinks takes away their pain are actually the things that are causing it. This understanding opened my eyes to this reality, but it took much quietness before there was any awareness of this. And it only occurred after many years of banging my head against an illusional wall.

A center of quietness is a stable starting point to stop the reaching out for comfort, and the more quietness there is the less there is a need to reach. This provides one with much more stability than if there is a need to constantly use something from outside oneself. So this center is key in establishing a reality that’s based in true reality. Because without a center that results in the mind settling, the only reality that will exist will be that something from the outside will provide one with quietness. But the truth is only an internal center can establish this.
