Acceptance Allows Peace

One may not totally like what occurs in the moment, but there can be peace by being with what’s there. And although one may not always do what is deemed as right, acceptance allows peace.

I don’t know about being happy under all circumstances, but I do know there can be an underlining peace regardless of what is occurring. And the only way this can happen is if one doesn’t want what is occurring to be any different than what it is. It doesn’t have to labeled as liked, but not wanting it to be in some other way allows for one to remain at peace. A peace that is there under all circumstance.

Life’s discontent is a direct result of wanting the present moment in some other way, even if there’s chaos, the chaos isn’t the issue, it’s not wanting the chaos that is the cause of the discontent. This is why it’s said ignorance is bliss, because if one doesn’t need life to be any other way except the way that it is, there will be a certain peace in this acceptance.

No one can truly claim who has it right in life and who doesn’t, but one can claim what brings them the most benefit. This is something that’s factual. To me this is what acceptance allows, not having things the way one wants, but being okay with the way they are. And when this occurs, although one may not totally like what is occurring in the moment, one can remain at peace because in the moment is what’s there.
